At Essex Home Finance, we take time to understand our clients’ needs, their goals and aspirations. This may be by a face-to-face meeting, an initial telephone discussion or an online chat - whatever is easier for our clients, at a mutually convenient time.
With Equity Release cases, it is important that we understand everything about your finances, your family, and any future plans. We would need to complete a Fact-Find with yourselves to ensure we collect all the necessary information. This allows us to check what you can borrow, select the appropriate scheme(s) and match the solution to your needs.
Where possible, we would encourage you to bring family members to any meeting, so that we can ensure that everyone understands how Equity Release works, and answer any questions that they may have.
Once we have completed our research, we will normally meet with you face-to-face to discuss and present our recommended solutions(s) to you. If everyone is happy to proceed, we will arrange for an application to be made with the chosen lender.
We will then keep in contact with you throughout the application process, as well as providing a written report on our advice and the suitability of the recommended Mortgage to your needs.
Where applicable, we will liaise with your Solicitors to ensure that they are in place and supported throughout the transaction.
A typical Equity Release case takes 6-10 weeks from application - this can be quicker depending on the lender and the legal process required.
Your Equity Release Mortgage will typically have no fixed end date, but it is useful to keep in regular contact, to ensure it remains suitable for your needs and to use any of the features where required.
